It’s a night for kids this Sunday and a look back at the history of softball in Portland. It’s the All-Star Softball Festival at Erv Lind Stadium presented by Beneficial State Bank. Remember game time is 5:10 PM tonight and the entry gate opens at 4:30 PM.

Saturday night the Portland All-Stars jumped out with two runs in the first inning, but the Oregon Thunder answered back and the game went back and forth. In the end the Thunder prevailed 11-9 to even the three-game series at a win each.

Exciting softball fills the air again this evening as the Oregon Thunder battle the Portland All-Stars. Tickets are only $10 and available on line here . It’s always best to save time when you get to the game by purchasing your tickets in advance by credit or debit card.  It’s Adventist Health Kids Eat Free Night with all youngsters 12-and-under enjoying a hot dog, a bottle of water and fruit and the opportunity to run the bases after the game. Also, young women from the Beaumont Softball Little League will be honored during the game. A highlight of the evening will be a look back at the history of softball in the Rose City and at Erv Lind Stadium, with some of the women who made it all happen being honored.

Remember, there’ll be plenty of great food from hot dogs and burgers to nachos and the best of Pizza Schmizza, to say nothing of a variety of ice cold beer and Coca-Cola products. Why not have dinner at the game. Also, be sure to visit the Authentic Game Wear store and get yourself a stylish tee-shirt, a WCSL cap or maybe an official game jersey.

It’s CASH or VENMO for all of your purchases in the ball park.
